- Are the admission and visa procedures difficult, and how long do they take?
Admission is considered easy if your documents are complete and meet the requirements. As for the visa, it requires accuracy and follow-up, but the university will assist you. Generally, the entire process takes about two to three and a half months, with the approval from "EMGS" (VAL) taking the longest time—up to 8 weeks. Therefore, plan and apply early.
- What should I do upon arriving at the airport in Malaysia for the first time?
First, keep your important documents such as your passport, acceptance letter, and VAL letter in your hand luggage. Upon arrival, go directly to the immigration counter and present your documents. If you have pre-arranged an edumize reception service, look for an edumize representative in the arrivals hall who will assist you with the remaining procedures.
- Are living expenses in Malaysia expensive?
Malaysia is a very affordable study destination compared to many other countries. As a student in Shah Alam (the location of MSU), you can expect your basic monthly expenses (housing, food, transportation, and some personal expenses) to range between RM 1,500 and RM 2,500 (approximately USD 320–530), depending on your lifestyle.
