Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, You will be eligible to obtain an Acceptance Letter, Eligibility Letter, or a Conditional Offer Letter. However, you must provide accepted English Proficiency Test prior to the beginning of your study. If you weren't able to secure the required result on time, then you will be required to set for an Intensive English Program offered by your university -only if your program and university facilitate that option-.
  • The whole visa (eVAL) application process takes about 4-6 weeks. This is an estimate and is up to the discretion of the immigration and EMGS.
  • All students who wish to study in Malaysia are required to obtain a Student Pass. Before a student is eligible to apply for a Student Pass, he/she must first apply for what is called an electronic Visa Acceptance Letter (eVAL) through EMGS. An eVAL is a letter issued by the Immigration Department prior to travel, indicating that the applicant is eligible for a student Pass upon arrival in Malaysia and completion of the remaining Post-Arrival required procedures. An eVAL is issued as an electronic copy through EMGS instead of a tangible paper letter.
  • The short answer is yes, your visa application may be rejected by the decision of EMGS and Malaysian Immigration.

  • The reason may be -but not limited to- one of the following:
    - Invalid Letter of Recommendation.
    - False documents.
    - False Information.
    - Criminal history.
    - Unsatisfactory academic records.
    - Inconsistent program choices.
    - Bad language/communication skills.
  • The most common reason for a student visa application being rejected is inconsistency in program options. So make sure you have made a final decision about the program you want to apply for before applying. Take advantage of the free consultations offered by Edumize and get peace of mind.
  • Mostly not, but we still need to check all your documents with the university first and see if you qualify for an English language qualification exemption or not.
  • It depends on where you live in Malaysia and the lifestyle of yours. Generally speaking, it ranges between $300 and $600 per month including all expenses even accommodation for a typical single student.
  • You can benefit from Edumize affiliate program if you are a registered international student in Malaysia and want to earn financial rewards provided by Edumize by simply referring your friends to register with us. Learn more
  • In general, the procedure will depend on when did you decide not to continue. We advise anyone who wants to apply to study in Malaysia to carefully and deeply study the decision before taking any step.
  • We do not specialize in scholarships or student loans. However, we do offer tuition discounts provided to us by universities and language institutes partners for the students to benefit from who intend to study at their own expense or with scholarships they have obtained themselves.
  • We advise students of not making any travel arrangements to Malaysia if the purpose was to study unless they obtain eVAL and SEV (if Required) first. Students MUST be out of Malaysia in order to obtain a Visa Approval Letter (eVAL) issued by the Immigration Department of Malaysia. Students present in Malaysia at the time of application must EXIT Malaysia to obtain the eVAL. Immigration Department of Malaysia DOES NOT issue eVAL (Visa Approval Letter) to students present in Malaysia unless except for some cases. Consult with us to know your eligibility.
