It is a coursework-based degree that equips students with advanced knowledge across multiple bioscience disciplines—such as immunology, pharmacology, microbiology, environmental health, and molecular biology. Coursework blends technical training with research methodology and innovation skills, preparing graduates to work as scientists, technical specialists, or consultants.

Many Students Choose Bioscience Because:

  • Wide range of research areas, including anatomy & physiology, pathology, toxicology, and occupational safety & health
  • Strong career preparation for roles in research, technical labs, consultancy, or academia.
  • Affordable and flexible: full-time or part-time study with modest tuition fees.

Some Students Do Not Choose Bioscience Because:

  • The program combines both technical science and innovation training, which can be demanding if you prefer a narrow focus.
  • It is heavily science-intensive, including lab-based coursework and research projects.
  • Entry requires a relevant bachelor's with decent CGPA or significant work experience if CGPA is lower.

Lifestyle During Study

  • You’ll take research methodology and entrepreneurship modules, alongside lab-based courses spanning biosciences.
  • Expect a mix of lecture sessions, lab work, individual project, and innovation-based presentations.

After Graduation

Career paths include:

  • Researcher or Scientist in clinical, environmental, or public health sectors
  • Technical Specialist or Consultant in bioscience industries
  • Academic roles or lab management in universities or research institutes.

What is Hard

  • Mastering lab procedures and technical protocols across multiple bioscience fields.
  • Producing research outputs that meet academic and innovation expectations.
  • Balancing coursework, lab projects, and any elective topics in public or environmental health.

What is Easy

  • Applying structured scientific thinking and research methodology.
  • Collaborating in lab groups—teamwork is built into lab modules.
  • Working in practical settings: research results feel tangible and relevant.

Fun Fact

“UniKL’s programme pairs bioscience with entrepreneurship—so not just theory, but innovation skills too.
