A pre-university program designed to prepare students for degree studies in science, engineering, and technology-related fields. It focuses on core subjects such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and computing fundamentals. It provides students with a strong academic base, analytical thinking skills, and practical knowledge required for success in university-level programs.
Many students choose Foundation in Science and Technology because:
- Offers a direct pathway to degrees in engineering, IT, health sciences, and applied sciences.
- Builds strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Provides both theoretical and laboratory-based learning experiences.
Some students do not choose Foundation in Science and Technology because:
- Involves challenging subjects that require focus and discipline.
- Demands good mathematical and scientific aptitude.
Lifestyle During Study:
- A mix of lectures, lab experiments, and tutorials in science and technology subjects.
- Group projects and research-based assignments to build teamwork and presentation skills.
- Continuous assessments through tests, lab work, and final exams.
After Graduation:
- Progress to bachelor’s degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Biotechnology, or Applied Sciences.
- Opportunity to specialise later in high-demand fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or Environmental Science.
What is Hard:
- Keeping up with technical subjects like advanced mathematics and physics.
What is Easy:
- Conducting laboratory experiments and applying theories in practical sessions.
Fun Fact:
“Technology evolves so fast that 65% of today’s students will work in jobs that don’t yet exist!”
This is for you if you like:
- Science and innovation
- Mathematics and logical thinking
