A one-year, three-semester pre-university program designed to help you step confidently into degree paths like Psychology, Mass Communication, English Studies, Sociology, Public Administration, or Education. You’ll develop key academic, critical thinking, and digital skills needed for today’s fast-changing world
Many Students Choose This Foundation Because:
- Explore multiple fields – Try subjects across social sciences, liberal arts, humanities, and communication.
- Develop key skills – Build strengths in writing, critical thinking, discussion, research, and collaboration.
- Flexible progression – Entry into a wide variety of degree programs in arts, education, mass communication, psychology, business, and more.
Some Students Do Not Choose It Because:
- Broad, not deep – Less specialised intensity compared to science or business foundations.
- Reading & writing heavy – Lots of essays, presentations, group work, and research.
- Needs clear direction – You should have a general idea of interest in the humanities or social sciences.
Lifestyle During Study:
- Interactive learning – Classes include lectures, group discussions, lab-based digital sessions, and presentations.
- Semester structure – Typically three semesters per year, each lasting about 14 weeks, with intakes around Jan/Feb, May/Jun, and Sept/Oct.
- Project focus – Many modules assessed entirely via coursework, so expect hands-on, task-driven study rather than exam-only formats.
After Graduation:
- Degree entry – Move directly into Bachelor’s programs in Arts, Psychology, Education, Communication, Sociology, International Relations, and Business.
- Stronger academic readiness – Entering with built-in skills in research, writing, and critical thinking gives you a head start in your university studies.
What’s Hard:
- Time & workload – Juggling reading, writing, presentations, and research projects across varied subjects.
- Analytical thinking – You’ll need to evaluate ideas and theories deeply, not just memorize facts.
What’s Easy:
- Skill-based learning – Clear support in communication, teamwork, and digital literacy.
- Collaborative environment – Learning alongside peers in group tasks makes the work more enjoyable and engaging.
